The present invention relates to oil-in-water nanoemulsions, methods for their preparation, and active ingredients for use in ophthalmic, dermatological, food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, textile, polymer, and chemical applications. Relates to its use as a delivery vehicle. The oil-in-water nanoemulsion comprises at least 50% by volume of a triglyceride having a fatty chain length of 12 or more carbon atoms, an oil phase with an upper limit of 40% by volume; a hydrophilicity having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) greater than 7. A nonionic surfactant; and an aqueous phase, the oil droplets having a mean strength diameter of less than 100 nm and a surfactant to oil ratio of less than 1: 1, preferably 0.2 to 0.8: 1. |
