abstract A method for producing a hydrolyzable and denatured denatured product from infectious organic waste comprises: (a) introducing infectious organic waste into a reactor that can be heated and pressurized to form a reaction mixture; (b) Exposing the reaction mixture to saturated steam at a temperature and pressure in the reactor for a period of time sufficient for the reaction mixture to be thermally hydrolyzed and modified into a modified slurry; (c) or (1) anaerobic Or (2) fractionating the modified slurry into at least two hydrolyzable modified products based on molecular weight, density and size. The resulting hydrolyzable products have safe and valuable nutritional properties and can be used in a wide range of commercial, agricultural and industrial products or processes.
