The present invention relates to a genetically modified chrysanthemum plant that expresses altered flower parts. Manipulate the chrysanthemum flavonoid pathway to produce plants with blue or violet flowers. Blue delphinidin pigment is produced by expressing flavonoid 3'5 'hydroxylase and (optionally) inhibiting flavonoid 3' hydroxylase activity. |
