abstract The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming a series of samples of a filtered input signal. Each of the plurality of tap current cells generates a tap current from the input signal. The plurality of distribution means couples the tap current cell to the plurality of integration means. The distribution means is controlled by the first clock signal. A plurality of integrating means integrate the tap currents they receive to form a sample. The generated tap currents are sent to each integrating means in a predetermined sequence according to the first clock signal. The integration means uses an integration phase and a sampling phase controlled by the second clock signal, respectively. During the integration phase, the integration means receives tap currents in turn, while during the resting phase no tap current is received, the circuit content is sampled and the integration means is reset.
