A digital arithmetic circuit for calculating a digital conversion value Dout of an input analog signal Vin from a plurality of analog / digital conversion units 30 and 37 connected in series and a sub-conversion result of the plurality of analog / digital conversion units. Each analog / digital conversion unit 30 generates a residual signal by subtracting an analog subtraction signal corresponding to the sub AD value from the analog input signal and the sub AD converter 32, and amplifies the residual signal. A pipeline AD converter circuit including an output DA converter 39, and the sub AD converter 32 in the first stage divides the input range -Vref, Vref into at least four sub ranges.
