abstract 【Task】 Provided is artificial hair that has a tactile sensation similar to that of natural hair, can shorten the time required for curling, and has sufficiently excellent flame retardancy. [Solution] The present invention is an artificial hair fiber obtained by fiberizing a resin composition containing polyamide and a phosphorus-containing flame retardant. The material of the resin composition contains 100 parts by mass of polyamide and 3 to 30 parts by mass of a phosphorus-containing flame retardant. The polyamide is preferably at least one compound selected from the group consisting of nylon 6, nylon 6,6, nylon 4,6, nylon 12, nylon 6,10, and nylon 6,12. The phosphorus-containing flame retardant is preferably a phosphinate. The resin composition preferably contains 100 parts by mass of polyamide, 3 to 30 parts by mass of a phosphorus-containing flame retardant, and 1 to 10 parts by mass of fine particles.
