A monoclonal antibody obtained by collecting mycoplasma pneumoniae by ultracentrifugation and using a protein in an aqueous phase fraction from which an ether extraction fraction has been removed as an immunogen, wherein the immunogen is 2-mercapto A sandwich characterized in that a monoclonal antibody that reacts with a 45 KD band separated when subjected to SDS-polyacrylamide gel (4-20%) electrophoresis in the presence of ethanol is used as a label-immobilized antibody and an insoluble membrane-immobilized antibody.
