abstract An object of the present invention is to detect an abnormality in a cylinder pressure of an internal combustion engine mounted on a hybrid vehicle without actually measuring the cylinder pressure using a pressure gauge. A cylinder pressure abnormality detection device 52 detects a change in the rotation speed of an MG 1 and a change in the rotation speed detected by the rotation speed change detection section 54 based on a change in the rotation speed. A cylinder pressure abnormality determining unit 56 for determining abnormality. With this configuration, an abnormality in the cylinder pressure of the internal combustion engine 12 mounted on the hybrid vehicle 10 can be detected without measuring the cylinder pressure with a pressure gauge.
