abstract | The present invention provides a toner for developing an electrostatic image having stable triboelectric chargeability with little environmental fluctuation and causing no abnormal image due to adhesion to a photoreceptor, a toner manufacturing method, and an image forming method. In a pulverized toner containing a binder resin, a release agent, and a colorant, the pulverized toner is manufactured through a mixing step of mixing toner base particles and external additives, which are inorganic fine particles, using a mixer. The amount of liberated external additive in the later toner is a value obtained by measuring the free component collected in an aqueous solution containing a surfactant of a polyoxyethylene lauryl ether compound by an ultrasonic vibration method by an atomic absorption spectrometry.
