abstract |
A water-soluble prodrug is provided. The prodrug of the present invention comprises a water-soluble polymer having three or more branches, at least three of which are covalently bound to an active substance (eg, a small molecule). The composite of the present invention provides an optimal balance of polymer size and structure to achieve improved drug loading, which is the release of the complex of the present invention over a multi-branched water soluble polymer. This is because it has three or more active substances that can be combined. The prodrugs of the present invention are therapeutically effective and exhibit improved properties in vivo when compared to the unmodified parent drug. [Selection figure] None |
