titleOfInvention | Method for producing aromatic polycarbonate |
abstract | Provided is a method for stably producing an aromatic polycarbonate having a narrow molecular weight distribution and excellent quality in initial hue. An aromatic dihydroxy compound and a carbonic acid diester are used as raw materials, both of these raw materials are continuously supplied to a raw material mixing tank, and the resulting mixture is continuously supplied to a polymerization tank, using a transesterification catalyst. When producing an aromatic polycarbonate by the transesterification method, (1) the amount of the set transesterification catalyst is 1 mol of aromatic dihydroxy compound or carbonic acid diester for every one or more unit production times provided by dividing the total production time. On the other hand, it is selected from the range of 0.05 to 5 μmol, and (2) at least 95% of the production time of each unit, the actual transesterification catalyst supplied is the aromatic dihydroxy compound or carbonic acid diester A method for producing an aromatic polycarbonate, which is maintained at a value within ± 0.1 μmol of each set transesterification catalyst amount per 1 mol.
