System to improve heart function |
abstract |
A system for improving cardiac function is provided. A foldable and expandable frame having at least one anchor structure is disposed within a catheter tube while attached to the elongated manipulator and folded. The tube is inserted into the left ventricle of the heart 242 where the frame exits the tube and expands in the left ventricle. The movement of the elongated manipulator causes the anchor to enter the myocardium, and the elongated manipulator releases the frame. The introduced frame minimizes the influence of the stationary part of the heart that forms the aneurysm bulge. [Selection] Figure 13J |
