abstract | 【Task】 As the surface recording density is improved, the recording magnetic field is prevented from decreasing due to the narrowing of the recording track width, and the track width is increased in accuracy, thereby improving the recording performance. [Solution] In the perpendicular magnetic recording head, the main magnetic pole 13 has a first main magnetic pole portion 131 having an inverted trapezoidal shape having a bevel angle, and a substantially rectangular shape having no bevel laminated on the first main magnetic pole portion. The second main magnetic pole portion 132 that defines the track width is used.
