abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a novel polyketide compound having excellent antitumor activity. Another object of the present invention is to provide an antitumor agent comprising the polyketide compound as an active ingredient, a method for producing the polyketide compound, and a novel dinoflagellate that can be used for producing the polyketide compound. The polyketide compound according to the present invention is a novel dinoflagellate, Amphidinium sp. KCA09051 strain or Amphidinium sp.
