abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an osmium catalyst composition that can be recovered and reused after the reaction. A copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (I) (1) a styrenic monomer and (2) a monomer containing an aromatic group having an epoxy group and a polymerizable double bond; and (1) a styrenic monomer After each of the monomer and (2) a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a hydrophilic group-containing monomer having a specific structure is loaded with an osmium catalyst and mixed, or (II) (1) a styrenic monomer and (2 A copolymer obtained by copolymerizing an aromatic group having an epoxy group and a monomer containing a polymerizable double bond; and (1) a styrenic monomer and (2) a hydrophilic group-containing monomer having the above specific structure. A process for producing an osmium-supported catalyst composition, wherein an osmium catalyst is supported on a mixture of a copolymer obtained by copolymerization and then subjected to a crosslinking reaction. .
