abstract An object of the present invention is to realize compatibility with a conventional system for reproducing a normal image in an optical disk on which a stereoscopic image and a high-definition image signal are recorded and a system for reproducing the same. In a stereoscopic / high image quality compatible playback apparatus, an interleave block in which a first video signal and a second video signal are each divided into frame groups of 1 GOP or more and are recorded on an optical disc 1 alternately on the left and right sides. By reproducing both of the second interleaved blocks, a stereoscopic video or high-quality video is obtained. In a stereoscopic / high-quality non-compatible playback device, only one of the first or second interleaved blocks is track jumped and played back. Get a normal picture. [Selection] Figure 3
