abstract An electrolyte / electrode assembly comprising an anode side electrode, a solid electrolyte, and a cathode side electrode and having an intermediate layer interposed in order to reduce the interface resistance between the solid electrolyte and the cathode side electrode. A cathode electrode 14 constituting an MEA 10 is formed on an intermediate layer 18 laminated on a solid electrolyte 16. The cathode-side electrode 14 is a stacked body that has a first layer 22 a facing the intermediate layer 18 and an n-th layer 22 n that is the uppermost layer. The first layer 22a fills the pores 20 opened at the end face of the intermediate layer 18 facing the first layer 22a side. This filling increases the contact area between the intermediate layer 18 and the first layer 22a. [Selection] Figure 1
