abstract | In a configuration using a developer containing two kinds of magnetic particles, a small particle size magnetic particle Cs and a large particle size magnetic particle Cb, the blur of a halftone solid image is reduced as compared with the conventional one. A developer containing small-diameter magnetic particles Cs and large-diameter magnetic particles Cb is carried on the surface of a developing sleeve 12, and as the developing sleeve 12 rotates, a photoreceptor 4 and the developing sleeve 12 are supported. The developer is transported to the development area facing the. Then, the electrostatic latent image is developed by attaching the toner particles electrostatically attached to the surface of the magnetic particles to the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 4.
