abstract |
To provide a method for producing ETBE capable of obtaining high-purity ETBE with high yield by a simple method and capable of upsizing and practical use of the apparatus. In the present invention, a hydrocarbon containing isobutene and ethanol are reactively distilled in a distillation column in the presence of a reaction catalyst to obtain ETBE, and the residue in the reactive distillation step S3 is removed under high pressure conditions.
