Provided is a method for producing a fuel cell separator that can impart high hydrophilicity to a surface and maintain the hydrophilicity for a long period of time, and can maintain high power generation efficiency of a fuel cell. A thermosetting resin containing an epoxy resin, a curing agent containing a phenolic compound, and graphite particles, wherein the equivalent ratio of the epoxy resin to the phenolic compound is in the range of 0.8 to 1.2. A molding composition is molded. The surface of the obtained molded body 1 is subjected to a surface treatment including a wet blast treatment and a remote atmospheric pressure plasma treatment after the wet blast treatment.
