abstract |
The present invention provides a resin injection method for achieving a high fiber volume fraction in a method of forming a fiber reinforced composite material from a fiber preform using a vacuum bag. The fiber preform 14 is compressed in several cycles using a vacuum pump 30 and the inside of the bag 12 is controlled to an appropriate vacuum level to supply resin from the pot 10 into the bag 12. At this time, the pressure in which the resin is injected is controlled by exhausting the pressure in the resin supply tank 10 to a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure.
