abstract | A foaming ethylene-α-olefin copolymer suitable for production of a foam excellent in expansion ratio is provided. A monomer unit based on ethylene and a monomer unit based on an α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, a density (d) of 860 to 950 kg / m 3 , and a melt flow rate ( MFR) is 0.1 to 10 (g / 10 min), it has a unimodal molecular weight distribution, and the ratio (Mw / Mn) of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) to the number average molecular weight (Mn) is 4 -30, the ratio (Mz / Mw) of the Z average molecular weight (Mz) to the weight average molecular weight (Mw) is 2 to 5, and the non-linear index k of uniaxial extensional viscosity is 0.85 to 1.50.
