Provided is a recording ink that has excellent storage stability, improved ejection stability, particularly ejection stability during continuous ejection or after ejection suspension, and high image quality with less bleeding. A penetrating agent and an antifoaming agent which are at least one of a coloring agent, a surfactant, 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol and 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol. After centrifuging the contained ink liquid, it is further filtered through a membrane filter having an average pore size of 1.2 μm to 5.0 μm, and coarse particles having a particle size of 0.5 μm or more are 3.0 × 10 7 (pieces / 5 μl).
