abstract Provided are a non-contact probe and a measuring machine capable of suppressing the influence of disturbance such as sunlight without requiring a design change. A measuring instrument includes a non-contact probe that detects a step gauge in a non-contact manner. The non-contact probe 2 includes a light emitting element 4 that emits light, a light receiving element 5 that receives light emitted from the light emitting element 4, and an optical filter 6 that covers an optical path that reaches the light receiving element 5. The optical filter 6 includes a transmission band that transmits light emitted from the light emitting element 4 and a cutoff band that blocks light with sensitivity of the light receiving element 5.
