titleOfInvention | Wettability improver for water-based paint |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To improve the compatibility of water-based paints contained in water-based paints, exhibit excellent wettability to a base material when coating the water-based paints, and prevent repellency. Provided is a wettability improver which has excellent leveling properties, sharpness and finished appearance, and exhibits excellent wettability to a top coating material when a top coat is applied to the coating film and imparts high top coat adhesion. The wettability improver for water-based paints has the following chemical formula (1) CH 2 = C (R 1) -COO- (C m H 2m O) n -R 2 ··· (1) 5 to 80 parts by weight of an ether group-containing alkyl (meth) acrylate monomer (A) represented by the following chemical formula (2) CH 2 = C (R 3) -COO-R 4 ··· (2) A copolymer with 20 to 95 parts by weight of the alkyl (meth) acrylate monomer (B) represented by the formula (1), wherein the copolymer has a weight average molecular weight of 3000 to 500,000 and a cloud point of 30 to 85. ℃.
