titleOfInvention Calcium carbonate granules
abstract The present invention provides a granule that is extremely easy to mold and a method for preparing a granule that is extremely easy to mold. A granular composition comprising a first powdery composition having a median particle size of 10 to 25 μm and a second powdery composition having a median particle size of 0.1 to 10 μm. Preferably, at least one of the powdered compositions is calcium carbonate. More preferably, the median particle size of the first powdered composition is 12 to 17 μm, and the median particle size of the second powdered composition is 1 to 5 μm. The granules are useful for tableting drugs and functional foods, and when molded, tablet sizes smaller than those previously available are obtained. [Selection figure] None
