titleOfInvention | Polymer nanocomposites containing metal ions |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer nanocomposite that can be stably dispersed without aggregating in an aqueous solution, and a simple method for producing the same. A polymer nanocomposite composed of gelatin or albumin, a protein or nucleic acid, and a polyvalent metal ion is disclosed. Preferably, the polyvalent metal ion is a divalent or trivalent metal ion, such as a zinc ion. The polymer nanocomposite of the present invention can be easily produced by mixing a complex composed of gelatin or albumin and a protein or nucleic acid with an aqueous solution of a polyvalent metal salt. In the polymer nanocomposite of the present invention, since salt bridges or coordination bonds with metal ions are formed, it can be stably dispersed in an aqueous solution. Furthermore, the strength of interaction between gelatin or albumin and protein or nucleic acid can be controlled by adjusting the addition concentration of metal ions. [Selection] Figure 1 |
