titleOfInvention Image forming apparatus and image forming method
abstract An object of the present invention is to prevent the occurrence of image irregularities and abnormal images such as low-resolution images due to discharge products such as ozone and nitrogen oxide (NOx) accumulated on the surface of a latent image carrier. A latent image carrier, charging means for charging the surface of the latent image carrier, and electrostatic latent image formation for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the latent image carrier charged by the charging means. Means, a developing means for visualizing the formed electrostatic latent image with toner, a transfer means for transferring the visualized toner image to the transfer target, and a surface of the latent image carrier after transfer. An image forming apparatus comprising: a toner cleaning unit that removes residual toner; an electric resistance detection unit that detects an electric resistance of the surface of the latent image carrier; and a latent image carrier based on a detection result of the electric resistance detection unit. An image forming apparatus comprising: means for performing a cleaning operation on a body surface. [Selection figure] None
