abstract |
An object of the present invention is to establish a method for efficiently and economically producing an active ingredient in polyester production. The above object is to depolymerize a polyester having an alkylene terephthalate unit with alkylene glycol to obtain a depolymerization solution containing bis (β-hydroxyalkyl) terephthalate, and then use methanol as a catalyst with methanol. This can be solved by a method for producing dimethyl terephthalate by transesterification. [Selection figure] None |
