A flame retardant-containing expandable polystyrene resin particle having a polystyrene resin containing a flame retardant and a foaming agent in the form of particles, wherein the flame retardant is selected from the group consisting of boron compounds or metal hydroxides. 1 type or 2 types or more of a flame retardant containing expandable polystyrene resin particle characterized by the above-mentioned. A flame-retardant polystyrene resin foam molded article obtained by pre-foaming this and further foaming in the mold. [Selection] Figure 1
