The present invention provides a water-absorbing agent having a high water absorption capacity under pressure (AAP) and a water absorption speed (Vortex) and having a blocking property during moisture absorption. Further, the present invention provides a water-absorbing agent having a predetermined amount of water (preferably 0.01-20% by weight) at a high water absorption capacity under pressure (AAP) and a water absorption speed (Vortex). A method for producing a water-absorbing agent, comprising mixing water-absorbing resin particles with a water dispersion containing a metal soap and a dispersion stabilizer.
