abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a culture medium and an evaluation system that can draw out good reactivity of a three-dimensional cultured skin model with respect to ultraviolet rays, and in particular, can sensitively detect the influence of ultraviolet rays on skin tissue. The present invention provides a three-dimensional cultured skin model having an artificially prepared dermis layer, in which melanocytes are engrafted in the basal layer of the epidermis. Furthermore, when conducting the test of the effects of UV irradiation and the drug effect on UV irradiation using this cultured skin model, the culture medium of the cultured skin model is (1) insulin, transferrin, hydrocortisone, bovine serum. (2) further comprising at least one additive in the selected group consisting of α-melanocyte stimulating hormone, bFGF, and isobutylmethylxanthine as a melanocyte activator, And a medium free of endothelin.
