titleOfInvention New formaldehyde scavenger
abstract A novel formaldehyde scavenger is provided. Certain carbodiimides are useful as formaldehyde scavengers, for example, 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethanecarbodiimide (degree of polymerization = 2-20), (N, N′-di-2,6-diisopropylphenylene). Carbodiimide (degree of polymerization = 2-20) and the like, and is not particularly limited as long as the compound has at least one carbodiimide group in the molecule. Further, for example, a polymer aliphatic carbodiimide based on isophoronediamine is used. A method for reducing the amount of formaldehyde by adding these scavengers and their use.
