An antibacterial member capable of stably supplying metal ions and capable of sufficiently exerting a stable antibacterial action over a long period of time is provided. The sintered body comprises a sintered body obtained by firing a powder containing silver as a main component, the sintered body having a compound 15 containing at least Ag, P, and O, and the surface of the sintered body. Further, at least a part of the compound 15 is exposed. Further, in the secondary electron image observation of the surface of the sintered body, it is preferable that 10 or more granular compounds 15 are observed within an observation field of 20 μm long × 24 μm wide. Furthermore, it is preferable that the compound 15 is arrange | positioned in the grain-boundary part of the said sintered compact. [Selection] Figure 1 |
