It is an object of the present invention to provide a norovirus detection technique capable of simultaneously detecting GI type and GII type. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] From the published base sequences of Norovirus, it was found that the base sequences in the vicinity of the junction region of ORF1 and ORF2 were conserved, and a primer set for amplifying this region was designed. Subsequently, RT-PCR was performed on the Norovirus clinical strain using this primer set, and all the base sequences of the obtained amplification products were determined. And, as a result of conducting a homology search near the junction region by combining the previous public strain and clinical strain, we found a highly conserved region regardless of genotype, and designed the PCR primer set of the present invention .
