titleOfInvention | Electrophoretic display device, driving method thereof, and electronic apparatus |
abstract | In an electrophoretic display device, a driving voltage is corrected with high accuracy in accordance with the temperature of an electrophoretic element, and the cost and size of the device are reduced. An electrophoretic display device includes a pair of a first substrate (28) and a second substrate (29), an electrophoretic element (23) sandwiched between the first and second substrates, and a first substrate. A predetermined voltage is applied to the electrophoretic element by applying a predetermined voltage to the pixel electrode (21) provided for each pixel, a common electrode (22) provided on the second substrate so as to face the pixel electrode, and the electrophoretic element. Correction means for detecting the device current flowing through the pixel electrode and correcting the drive voltage to be applied between the pixel electrode and the common electrode according to the image data to a voltage suitable for the temperature of the electrophoretic device estimated based on the device current. 221 and 222).
