abstract |
The present invention provides a catalyst composition for amide production and a method for producing amide, which reduce the viscosity of an ionic liquid and increase the conversion rate of ketoxime and the selectivity of amide. A catalyst composition used for the production of an amide comprises an amino acid ionic liquid containing a cation represented by the following formula (I) and one or more inorganic acid groups, organic acid groups, or anions consisting of these: It contains Bronsted acid, and the number of cations and anions in the amino acid ionic liquid makes the amino acid ionic liquid electrically neutral.
