abstract | [PROBLEMS] To reduce the amount of water-based die casting release agent used to an extremely small amount compared to conventional die casting release agents, and to sufficiently generate the Leidenfrost phenomenon while keeping the mold cooling width within an appropriate range. It is possible to provide a release agent for an aqueous die casting that can be suppressed to a high level and can achieve excellent release properties. An aqueous die casting release agent containing a release component, a water-soluble compound having a boiling point of 150 ° C. or higher, and water, wherein the release agent is used with respect to 100% by mass of the aqueous die casting release agent. 1 to 50% by mass of components, 5 to 50% by mass of the water-soluble compound, and 1 to 90% by mass of the water.
