abstract To provide an image forming apparatus capable of appropriately adjusting image quality by improving the transferability of a test pattern from an intermediate transfer member to a belt member. A polishing pattern is formed on a paper transport belt using a B-color image forming unit, and toner is input to a contact portion between a cleaning blade and the paper transport belt. Then, after the toner is input to the contact portion between the cleaning blade and the paper transport belt, when the paper transport belt 8 makes one turn or more, the Y, M, C color gradation pattern, and the B color gradation pattern are changed to the paper. Process control is performed so that the image is transferred to the conveyor belt. [Selection] Figure 1
