titleOfInvention Liquid crystal display device and electronic device
abstract Disclosed is a liquid crystal display device and an electronic device in which deterioration of a liquid crystal material is suppressed and a decrease in transmittance is suppressed. The present invention relates to an upper substrate, a lower substrate disposed opposite to the upper substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and a lower substrate. A backlight 40 that irradiates light to the liquid crystal layer 35 from the outside, and the upper part of the transmittance of a specific wavelength having a peak in a region shorter than the blue wavelength in the visible light region of the light irradiated from the backlight 40. In the liquid crystal display device 1, the transmittance transmitted from the lower substrate 30 to the liquid crystal layer 35 is smaller than the transmittance transmitted from the substrate 36 to the liquid crystal layer 35.
