titleOfInvention | Ink composition for water-based protective layer and heat-sensitive recording material |
abstract | Kind Code: A1 A heat-sensitive recording material is provided which has improved properties and processability of a protective layer coating solution applied on a heat-sensitive color-developing layer and is excellent in storage stability and head matching properties. A styrene / acrylic polymer obtained by polymerizing styrene and (meth) acrylic acid or (meth) acrylic acid ester using a carboxyl group-containing styrene / acrylic copolymer and / or an ammonium salt thereof as an emulsifier. An aqueous protective layer ink composition comprising a copolymer copolymer emulsion, hydrous aluminum silicate (montmorillonite), colloidal amorphous silica and a higher fatty acid metal salt, and a thermosensitive recording material using the same. [Selection figure] None |
