abstract A rubber composition for a conveyor belt having excellent adhesion to a brass-plated steel cord and having a good vulcanization speed, and a conveyor belt having excellent durability and productivity using the rubber composition. A rubber composition for a conveyor belt, comprising 1 to 2 parts by mass of zinc dimethacrylate and 2 to 3.5 parts by mass of cobalt boronate of neodecanoate with respect to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component. A brass-plated steel cord 3 covered with an adhesive rubber layer 2 is used as a core, and these are disposed between the cover rubber layers 1 to form a conveyor belt. [Selection] Figure 1
