titleOfInvention | Process for producing amines having adamantane skeleton and quaternary ammonium salt |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To produce amines having an adamantane skeleton and quaternary ammonium salts having an adamantane skeleton from adamantanes efficiently and with high purity and high yield without any operational problems related to safety and toxicity. Provide a method. A method for producing an amine having an adamantane skeleton, which includes the following steps 1 to 3 in sequence. Step 1: A step of reacting adamantanes in a mixed solution composed of fuming sulfuric acid and an organic nitrile compound. Step 2: A step of hydrolyzing the reaction solution obtained in Step 1 to obtain an amide having an adamantane skeleton. Step 3: A step of subjecting the amide obtained in Step 2 to an alkali treatment to an amine having an adamantane skeleton. Then, it is a manufacturing method of the quaternary ammonium salt which has an adamantane skeleton including the following process AC sequentially. Step A: A step of reacting amines having an adamantane skeleton dissolved in solvent a with formic acid and formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde to form dimethylamines having an adamantane skeleton. Step B: A step of dissolving the dimethylamine having an adamantane skeleton obtained in Step A in a solvent b and reacting with methyl halide to obtain a quaternary ammonium halogen salt having an adamantane skeleton. Step C: A step of ion-exchanging a quaternary ammonium halogen salt having an adamantane skeleton dissolved in a solvent c to obtain a quaternary ammonium OH salt having an adamantane skeleton.
