titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal colloidal thin film material |
abstract | Disclosed is a liquid crystal colloidal thin film material capable of controlling the interval between dispersed solid fine particles. A liquid crystal colloid layer comprising a substrate subjected to vertical alignment treatment, a nematic liquid crystal compound provided on the surface of the substrate, and solid fine particles dispersed in the liquid crystal and subjected to vertical alignment treatment. The solid fine particles are arranged so as to be exposed on the main surface of the liquid crystal colloid layer, and the fine particle intervals are controlled at equal intervals by the interaction of alignment defects formed along the vertical alignment of the liquid crystal compound below the fine particles. Liquid crystal colloidal thin film material made possible. [Selection] Figure 1 |
