abstract |
Provided is a lubricant composition having a reduced phosphorus and sulfur content and a reduced coefficient of friction. A lubricating surface, a lubricant composition for lubricating the surface, and a method for reducing the coefficient of friction of the lubricant. Hydrocarbons that have the effect of reducing the friction coefficient of the lubricant composition more than the lubricant composition lacking a titanium compound that is soluble in the base oil and the hydrocarbon-soluble titanium compound reduce the friction coefficient. The lubricating surface is provided by a lubricant composition comprising at least one quantity of a titanium compound that is soluble in water. [Selection figure] None |
