titleOfInvention Process for producing 2- (3-nitrobenzylidene) isopropyl acetoacetate
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high-purity 2- (3-nitrobenzylidene) acetoacetate isopropyl acetate in a relatively short time and in a high yield as compared with a conventional method. In a method for producing isopropyl 2- (3-nitrobenzylidene) acetoacetate by dehydration condensation reaction of isopropyl acetoacetate and 3-nitrobenzaldehyde in the presence of a base, in an aprotic solvent at 40 ° C. or higher. This is a method for producing isopropyl 2- (3-nitrobenzylidene) acetoacetate, wherein the dehydration condensation reaction is performed in a temperature range of 70 ° C. or lower.
