abstract The present invention relates to a polymer polymerization method in which a monomer containing a metal salt of an ionic group is desalted and polycondensed, and the introduction rate of a monomer unit containing a metal salt of an ionic group is brought close to the charged stoichiometric value. Increases the molecular weight and further suppresses the decomposition of the polymer. When a monomer containing a metal salt of an ionic group is subjected to desalting polycondensation, a cyclic metal scavenger is added. [Selection figure] None
