An optical member with an oxide layer which has a fine concavo-convex structure and is excellent in durability, and a method for producing the same. An optical member has a base material 21 and an antireflection film on the surface of the base material, and the antireflection film has at least a metal oxide layer on the surface of which a fine concavo-convex structure is formed by crystals of aluminum oxide. The metal oxide layer includes an amorphous layer 23, and at least the surface of the metal oxide layer is aluminum phosphate 25. Further, the height of the fine concavo-convex structure is 0.1 μm or more and 5 μm or less. Alternatively, the crystal of aluminum oxide is boehmite. [Selection] Figure 2 |
