abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a treatment for reducing obesity. The data show that the growth of endometrial tissue transplanted into the abdominal cavity is inhibited by angiogenesis inhibitors. The dose of TNP-470 used in this pilot study is 1/3 of the established tumor dose. An angiogenesis inhibitor is administered to a patient in an amount effective to regulate the size and / or proliferation of normal, untransformed, vascularized tissue by modulating its vascular compartment. The Examples of tissues that can be controlled include adipose tissue, intestinal polyps, muscle (including heart) tissue, and endometrial tissue. [Selection figure] None
