Soluble form osmotic dose delivery system |
abstract |
A therapeutically effective dose of a wide range of drugs at a controlled rate and over a long period of time without the need for a polymer that swells or expands within the tablet wall to physically push the drug particles into their intended use environment. Providing an osmotic delivery system in the form of a tablet that effectively delivers a drug. (A) a semi-permeable wall that remains intact during drug delivery and has at least one flow path therethrough; (b) an infiltration comprising a single homogeneous composition within the wall A delivery system comprising essentially (i) a pharmaceutical active, (ii) at least one non-swelling solubilizer that enhances the solubility of the pharmaceutical active, (iii) at least one An osmotic formulation delivery system comprising: a non-swelled osmotic agent; and (iv) a non-swelled wicking agent dispersed throughout the composition that enhances surface area contact between the formulation and the incoming aqueous fluid.
